To ensure you always have an overview when surfing the internet, you can close tabs on your Android smartphone that are no longer needed. In this practical tip we will show you how this works in Google Chrome.

Instructions: Close all tabs on Android

The procedure is the same in almost every mobile browser on Android. In these instructions we used the standard browser Google Chrome , with other browsers there are slight, mainly visual, differences.

  • At the top right of the browser you will see the tab icon. The small number in the icon shows how many tabs are currently open.
  • Tap the icon to see an overview of all open tabs. At the top right of the tab you can close the desired object using the cross symbol.
  • Alternatively, tap the menu button at the top right and select the "Close all tabs" option to close all open pages at once.
