Internet without the Router – these are the options
- Surf stick: Using a USB surf stick and the matching SIM card, you can surf without the Router. Insert the SIM card into the Stick, and connect it to your PC. After a short Installation you can directly start with the Surfing. Here, you need the right plan to your SIM card, since in the normal Surfing very many data are needed.
- Satellite: Unless you have a satellite dish at home, you can use the Internet via satellite. On the Internet you will find lots of provider from whom you receive the appropriate Hardware. In this practical tip we have some providers for satellite Internet for you.
- Free radio: In many big cities in Germany, you can already find free Wi-Fi network such as Freifunk. These networks are open to all, but can be viewed by anyone and are therefore not very secure.
