iPhone-ringtone create - two paths to the goal
You can generate the ringtone, either via iTunes (method 1) or via an App (method 2). With the second methods, you can set your ringtone and hide. Who wants to faster get to the goal, you should follow method 1.
Method 1: music as a ringtone on iTunes
- Start iTunes on your PC and select the desired song.
- Right click on the song and select the context menu item "information".
- From there you can select the "options" and enter the Start and stop times of the song (see picture). Note that the ringtone can only be a maximum of 40 seconds. Then click the "OK"Button.
- Click on the file again with the right mouse button and choose the "create MP3 Version" or "create AAC Version create". Then a copy of the song is created that has the desired length.
- Now copy the file (right-click > "Copy" or [Ctrl] + [C]) and paste the file to your Desktop.
- Now, you must have the file extension under Windows the change in the Format of M4R. This Change, iTunes no longer accepted in the current Version, 12. Therefore, we still need a small Tool.
- Download free iRinger , download and run the Tool, it requires no Installation. The advertising you can get, unfortunately. Since we need the Tool in only 30 seconds, you don't need to note this, however.
- Click on the Button "Import" and select the MP3 file from the Desktop. Via the Button "Export" you can save the MP3 file as a M4R file on the Desktop.
- How to import the ringtone back into iTunes and on your phone to bring, learn the next paragraph. You can skip the first five points and start at point 6.
- The complete step-by-step instructions, you can see also in the Video above. The said procedure works only for iTunes Version 12.

Method 2: music convert to ringtone via the App
In the App Store, you will find plenty of Apps to convert you to their music in the Apple accepted the ringtone format. All of these Apps have roughly the same functionality, with free Apps provide the same service. In this example, we use the extremely user-friendly App "ringtone Maker". The Link takes you to the Download in the App Store.
- You have downloaded the App, start it.
- Now click on the icon with the Note, and select a Song of your choice to be your ringtone.
- You have done this, you can make various settings. With the upper Slider, select the start time of the Ringer, the lower the length. Ringtones for the iPhone are restricted by default to 30 seconds. Finally, you can select whether the song's supposed to and end, so that not every call to a moment of Fright leads (see picture).
- Then, press the memory icon with the floppy disk. The ringtone is now saved on your phone, yet, it must be imported into iTunes so that it can be used. Importing the ringtone in to iTunes, you will learn in the next paragraph.

Ringtone in iTunes to import
The converted ringtone is available only in the App, and now has to go in the iPhone folder with the ring tones:
- To do this, start iTunes and connect your iPhone to your Computer.
- Top right, click on the Button "iPhone". There select the menu item "Apps".
- Scroll down, find the point of "release" under which only a few Apps should be. Including the "Ringtone Maker".
- Select appears to the right of a list. Click on the song and click on the Button "Save".
- Select the Desktop and click the blue Button "folder". The ringtone is now on your Desktop.
- Simultaneously press the keys "Ctrl" and "O", you can select the ringtone and iTunes import.
- Now click on the top left of the library Button. On either "music", "Apps", "TV shows" or "movies" (see image). From there you can select the "sounds".
- The point "sounds should not be", simultaneously press the keys "Ctrl" and "S", so that the side bar appears. Here you will find top of the tones.
- The Option is not see here, you have to press simultaneously the keys "Ctrl" and "," so that the settings open. You put up a hook in front of the point of "tones" and confirm with "OK".
- Now you can see in the list of the tones your self-created ringtone. Drag to the right edge of the screen on the iPhone icon (see image).
- The ringtone is now on your iPhone and only needs to be set up.

Setting the ringtone on the iPhone
Because of the sound snippets is now on the right place on your iPhone, you can set it now as a ringtone:
- Open the "settings"App on your iPhone and select the "sounds".
- Below you will find the option "ringtone".
- There you will see at the top of the list of your self-created ringtone. (see image). Choose this, have you selected it as a ringtone.
