How to solve the treacherous tower puzzle in Elden Ring
The treacherous tower in Elden Ring is located on the Altus Plateau and is initially invisible. To change that, you have to go to the three phantom crests, touch them and break the seal above the tower. To do this, you have to find the imp statue with a book in the western part of the forest via the destroyed bridge in the south.
- After interacting with the statue, start the quest. You are given the deceptive map on which the phantom coats of arms are marked and which is different from the world map with the cardinal points. North on the map is west on the world map.
- For the coats of arms, you confirmed “touch phantom coat of arms”. The first one can be found right next to the imp statue. Southwest of the tower, youll find the next crest, where some phantom wights are attacking. They only disappear once you have touched the coat of arms.
- Crest three is hidden under a rock on the left side of the destroyed bridge to the east. Once all three coats of arms are touched, the tower appears, which you can now enter.

Once the tower is unlocked, you can climb straight to the top. Up there you will find a corpse, items and two spells that can help you further.
